David Mayer
David M. Mayer is the managing shareholder of Monsees & Mayer, P.C., in Kansas City, Missouri, where he focuses on advocating for victims of sexual abuse, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability. A Kansas City native, David is dedicated to seeking justice for his clients, particularly children and the elderly harmed by the negligence of others. Notable cases include a $5 million verdict for a swimming pool negligence incident, $24 million dollar sexual abuse verdict and numerous multi-mllion dollar confidential settlements in sexual abuse cases. His work has helped clients secure compensation for injuries from dangerous conditions in stores, car accidents, and other harm caused by negligence.

David’s achievements have garnered high recognition within the legal profession. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating for legal skill and ethics, and is listed among The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and recognized by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys as being in the top 10% for client satisfaction. In acknowledgment of his service, David was recently awarded the Pat Kelly Service Award by the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law Foundation & Law Alumni Association.
David’s academic journey began with a double major in Political Science and Economics at Boston College, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, where he was a Victor Wilson Scholar and received the American Jurisprudence Award. He is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas, the U.S. District Courts for both states, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.
Beyond his legal work, David is committed to community service, volunteering for legal aid programs throughout Missouri and Kansas and serving on various nonprofit boards. His dedication to both his clients and his community reflects his deep commitment to justice and advocacy.
