KANSAS CITY, Missouri (February 28, 2024) — David Mayer, managing shareholder of Monsees & Mayer, was awarded the 2024 Pat Kelly Service Award at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Law’s Big Event. Annually, the UMKC Law Foundation & Law Alumni Association presents this award to an attorney who has provided exemplary service to the School of Law.

Throughout his nearly 30-year career, Mayer has represented victims and survivors of sexual abuse and those who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties. He is deeply involved with UMKC Law Foundation, including serving as co-chair of The Campaign for Advocates, which is dedicated to increasing opportunities for students through obtaining funds for scholarships and advocacy competition travel and expenses. Mayer and his firm also created one of the first two endowed scholarships as part of the Foundation’s Campaign for Advocates.
